Board Changes

London, UK – 22 September 2026, hVIVO plc (AIM: HVO), a purpose-built, full-service international clinical development partner and the world leader in human challenge trials, today announces the following changes to the Board as part of the ongoing evolution of its composition.

-          Appointment of Caroline Shaw, CBE as Independent Non-Executive Director, effective from 1 October 2026. Caroline will also serve as Chair of the Remuneration Committee and as a member of the Audit Committee

-          Elaine Sullivan to step down as Independent Non-Executive Director, effective from 1 October 2026

Appointment of Caroline Shaw, CBE: Caroline brings more than 30 years’ senior healthcare leadership experience across the NHS, independent healthcare, digital health and life sciences. She has held Chief Executive and board-level roles in both the public and private sectors, with expertise spanning strategy, clinical governance, operational transformation and commercial growth.

Her prior roles include Chief Executive Officer of Evergreen Life where she led a successful turnaround to profitability; Chief Executive Officer of Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn NHS Foundation Trust; Chief Operating Officer / Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust; and Chief Executive Officer of The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.

Resignation of Elaine Sullivan: Concurrently, Elaine Sullivan will step down as an independent Non-Executive Director. Elaine joined the Board of hVIVO (then part of Open Orphan) in November 2020 and has previously served as Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee.
