Rudyard and Keyes Facility Updates

Summary by AI BETAClose X

Helix Exploration PLC has commenced continuous helium sales from its Rudyard facility in Montana, with trailers now rotating on a continuous basis to ensure uninterrupted supply, and is also tolling helium through the Keyes Helium Complex liquefaction facility in Oklahoma, generating revenue with weekly trailer fillings. The company's operations team is overseeing the Keyes facility, which has the capacity for full tolling of helium from various sources, positioning Helix as a key player in consolidating a fragmented helium supply. All wells on the Rudyard pipeline system are operating under high pressure, and additional wells await approval.

Rudyard and Keyes Facility Updates

Rudyard trailer rotation in operation while helium is now being tolled through Keyes

Helix Exploration PLC (AIM: HEX, OTCQB: HEXFF), the US based helium production and liquefaction company, is pleased to provide an update on continuous helium sales from the Rudyard facility in Montana and tolling of helium through the Keyes Helium Complex liquefaction facility in Oklahoma.

Having commenced commercial operations in July 2026 with the filling of Helix's first jumbo tube trailer, the Company is now filling a combination of customer-supplied and leased trailers on a continuous rotation basis to ensure uninterrupted supply, with the second tube trailer having been filled and departed Rudyard concurrently with the arrival of another tube trailer for filling.

Each of the wells on the pipeline system is operating and under high pressure. The Company intends to provide an update on field development in the near future, with additional wells awaiting approval by the Montana Board of Oil and Gas.

Keyes Helium Facility Update

Following completion of the acquisition of the Keyes Helium Complex in Oklahoma in mid-July 2026, the Company's operations team is on site and is overseeing the facility's core operation. Helium is now being tolled through the site, producing revenue, with tube trailers being filled on a weekly basis as part of the ongoing tolling programme.

With the capacity for full, one hundred percent, tolling Keyes can process helium from the Company's own wells in due course, from third party suppliers, and from tube trailers, alongside crude helium drawn from the former United States Bureau of Land Management reserve. This flexibility ideally positions Helix, as the owner of one of only six US operational helium liquefaction facilities, to help consolidate an increasingly fragmented helium supply as legacy production declines.

Bo Sears, Chief Executive Officer, commented:

"Rudyard has now moved into a continuous filling cycle, underpinning Helix's transition into a revenue generating producer and processor of helium from two revenue centres in Montana and Oklahoma.

"With a liquefaction facility now operating under Helix's ownership, the business occupies a uniquely integrated position in the US helium sector that spans the value chain, from reserves in the ground, producing wells, owned drilling equipment for field expansion, and liquefaction infrastructure. This is a combination that few independents have ever held, at a time when supply is becoming increasingly constrained."

Notes to Editors

Helix Exploration PLC is a US based helium production and liquefaction company listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: HEX), with operations spanning the helium value chain from production through to liquefaction. Its flagship Rudyard Project in Montana is the state's first producing helium field, with three stacked helium-bearing reservoirs in a proven geological setting and an initial three wells delivering commercial helium flow rates. Production commenced in February 2026 through an on-site PSA processing facility, with first commercial sales commencing in July 2026 to an industrial gases group.

Following the acquisition of the Keyes Helium Complex in Oklahoma, one of only six operational helium liquefaction facilities in the United States, Helix has become an independent US helium producer owning both upstream production and liquefaction infrastructure. The acquisition positions the Company to capture greater value across the supply chain, process both its own and third-party helium, and support the growing North American helium market with flexible, independent liquefaction capacity.

Helix's assets are characterised by low-cost production, established infrastructure, significant and fully funded expansion potential, and a strategy focused on building a fully integrated helium business capable of delivering sustainable long-term growth.
