Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Helix Exploration PLC (AIM: HEX, OTCQB: HEXFF), the US-focused helium production and liquefaction company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Marshall as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Rob Marshall has been appointed as a representative of the Company's largest shareholder, Drachs Investments No.3 Limited ("Drachs"). Drachs currently holds approximately 18.6% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital. Under the terms of the relationship agreement between the Company and Drachs, Drachs is entitled to appoint two non-executive directors to the board as well as a board observer for so long as it maintains a shareholding of not less than 15% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.

Rob is currently a Non-Executive Director of Metals Exploration plc (AIM: MTL), a gold producer, explorer and developer with operations in the Philippines and Nicaragua, where he was appointed in November 2024 as Drachs' representative. Since Rob's appointment to the Board of Metals Exploration, the company has made significant progress in executing its strategy of building a multi-project gold business. In December 2024, Metals Exploration announced a recommended offer to acquire Condor Gold plc, which completed in January 2025 and resulted in Metals Exploration acquiring 100% of the La India gold project in Nicaragua.

Rob is currently UK Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Evans Property Group, a global family investment business with a predominantly real estate focus. He has extensive experience in corporate finance, investment, M&A, capital raising, financial management and corporate governance.

Further information on Rob's appointment pursuant to Rule 17 and Schedule 2, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies appears further below.

Keith Spickelmier, Non-Executive Chairman of Helix, commented:

"We are delighted to welcome Rob to the Board of Helix. Rob brings considerable corporate, financial and investment experience, together with valuable experience as a non-executive director of a publicly listed natural resources company.

"His experience with Metals Exploration is particularly relevant as Helix moves from exploration and development into production and continues to pursue opportunities to build a larger helium business. We look forward to benefiting from his experience as we execute our growth strategy."

Rob Marshall, Non-Executive Director, said:

"I am very pleased to join the Board of Helix at an exciting stage in the Company's development. Helix has made significant progress in becoming a helium producer and has established an attractive portfolio of assets in the United States.

"Having served on the Board of Metals Exploration since November 2024, I have seen first-hand the value that can be created by combining a producing natural resources asset with a disciplined approach to project development. I look forward to working with Keith, Bo Sears and the rest of the Board and management team as Helix seeks to build on its existing assets and deliver long-term value for shareholders."

Notes to Editors

Helix Exploration PLC is a US based helium production and liquefaction company listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: HEX), with operations spanning the helium value chain from production through to liquefaction. Its flagship Rudyard Project in Montana is the state's first producing helium field, with three stacked helium-bearing reservoirs in a proven geological setting and an initial three wells delivering commercial helium flow rates. Production commenced in February 2026 through an on-site PSA processing facility, with first commercial sales commencing in July 2026 to an industrial gases group.

Following the acquisition of the Keyes Helium Complex in Oklahoma, one of only six operational helium liquefaction facilities in the United States, Helix has become an independent US helium producer owning both upstream production and liquefaction infrastructure. The acquisition positions the Company to capture greater value across the supply chain, process both its own and third-party helium, and support the growing North American helium market with flexible, independent liquefaction capacity.

Helix's assets are characterised by low-cost production, established infrastructure, significant and fully funded expansion potential, and a strategy focused on building a fully integrated helium business capable of delivering sustainable long-term growth.
