UK COAL today confirmed it has received offers from the Department of Trade and
Industry of £13.98m under the Coal Investment Aid scheme for projects at seven
of its collieries in the Midlands and Yorkshire. The offers relate to planned
expenditure on projects in 2005 and 2006.
