Tragic Contractor Accident in Ghana
Goldplat Plc, (AIM:GDP) the AIM listed Mining Services Group, with international gold recovery operations located in South Africa and Ghana, servicing the African and South American Mining is deeply saddened to announce a contractor died on 5 November 2026 following an accident at its site in Ghana. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
The contractor, together with colleagues, was working on construction of a trench when a wall gave way. The Company has notified the relevant authorities and is cooperating fully with them. It has also begun its own internal investigation into the reasons for the accident and the safety of operations.
Operations at the plant were temporarily suspended during initial investigations today, but we have been allowed to re-commence operations following the initial inspection. At this time, the Company does not expect any impact on its financial performance.
Our focus and attention are on supporting the contractor’s family at this time.
