SmartVault: the strategic control point in US tax preparation

GetBusy plc ("GetBusy" or the "Group") (AIM: GETB), a leading provider of trusted SaaS platforms delivering AI to regulated professionals, provides an update on trading for the four months to 30 April 2026 (the "Period") ahead of today's Annual General Meeting.

Overview

The board is pleased to report a meaningful step-up in growth in the Period with Group ARR up 11% vs April 2025 to £23.4m, validating the Group's strategy and continuing what we hope to be a sustained period of increasing growth driven by strong adoption of AI technologies within our applications.

SmartVault is now firmly established as a strategic platform in US tax preparation, with the business embedded across all major tax software ecosystems and extending materially deeper into firms' core workflows.

New integration partnerships and a reinvigorated go-to-market approach within professional services has led to a return to growth within Workiro.

SmartVault: strong pre-tax season validates platform position

SmartVault delivered a step-up in growth through the US pre-tax season, with ARR up 19% vs April 2025 to $18.5m and new business in the Period up 36%. SmartVault is now the only document workflow platform integrated across all major US tax preparation software, including Intuit ProConnect, Lacerte, ProSeries, Thomson Reuters UltraTax, CCH and Drake. Performance was led by exceptional contributions from Thomson Reuters and Intuit ProConnect, which demonstrated strong commercial traction following the Q4 2025 integration launch.

SmartVault's deep integrations, position as trusted custodian for over 650 million sensitive client documents, its 31,000 professionals from 7,000 firms and expanding workflow coverage create a powerful competitive moat. Once embedded, SmartVault becomes deeply integrated into firms' workflows, historical records and client interactions, resulting in high switching costs and long customer lifetimes.

With the launch of SmartProposals in Q4, SmartVault will extend further upstream into new client engagement and pricing workflows, building on the foundations laid by SmartRequestAI®. Together with automated retention policies and the next generation of our ProConnect integration, SmartVault is establishing itself as the strategic control point across the US tax preparation workflow.

Workiro: TaxCalc partnership

Workiro has started the year well, with new business in the UK and ANZ benefiting from the refocus on the professional services market. The Group's enhanced strategic collaboration with TaxCalc, one of the UK's leading tax compliance software providers, makes embedded tax and document workflows available to TaxCalc's 11,000 accountancy firms. We expect to add further integration partnerships in the UK and ANZ to strengthen Workiro's position as the leading independent document workflow engine for tax professionals.

Customer migrations from Virtual Cabinet to Workiro are building momentum, leading to attractive ARPU uplifts and improving churn.  This provides additional confidence that Workiro will continue its return to growth during the rest 2026.

Outlook

AI is increasingly a value multiplier for the Group's trusted vertical platforms, with SmartRequestAI® already demonstrating the commercial potential of AI-led capabilities. With Workiro positioned to return to growth and SmartVault's strategic position strengthening, the Board reconfirms its expectations for 2026 with a high degree of confidence.
