Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

Gamma Communications plc ("Gamma" or "the Group"), a leading European provider of business-critical communications technology, is pleased to announce the appointment of Damien Maltarp as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, following a comprehensive search and selection process. Damien will succeed Bill Castell, who, as previously announced, will be leaving the Group on 31 March 2026 to take up an executive role at a private equity backed business.

Damien brings significant telecoms and capital markets expertise to Gamma, underpinned by more than 15 years' senior leadership experience across a broad range of financial disciplines. He is currently Group Financial Controller for London Stock Exchange Group plc ("LSEG") and serves as a non-executive director of The Mercantile Investment Trust plc, where he is also Audit Committee Chair. Prior to joining LSEG, Damien spent over ten years at BT Group plc, including roles as CFO of BT Enterprise, their UK B2B division, and as CFO of BT Wholesale & Ventures. He originally joined BT in 2010 as Investor Relations Director, leading the function for four years. Earlier in his career, Damien spent ten years as an equity analyst in the telecoms sector, including roles at Credit Suisse, JPMorgan Cazenove and Bank of America. Damien has a degree in Economics and Management Studies from Cambridge.

Damien will join the Group and the Board at the latest in September 2026, with the exact date to be confirmed.

In the interim period, a senior member of the Group finance function will manage the internal financial operations reporting directly to Andrew Belshaw, while Andrew Belshaw will manage investor and analyst matters.

Andrew Belshaw, Chief Executive Officer, commented: "I first met Damien when he was CFO of BT Wholesale and I am thrilled he has chosen to join us. He brings to Gamma a combination of extensive financial expertise and deep telecommunications sector knowledge, gained across a number of first-class organisations."

Damien Maltarp, incoming Chief Financial Officer, commented: "I am delighted to be joining Gamma, a business I have admired for some time. This is an incredibly exciting time for the Group as Gamma further strengthens its position as a European provider of business-critical technology. I look forward to working with Andrew and the team and contributing to the Group's continued success."
