Expansion of Phase 2 Drilling Programme

Summary by AI BETAClose X

Forgent plc has expanded its Phase II drilling programme at the Peak Hill Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia by an additional 14 holes and approximately 840 metres, increasing the total programme to approximately 144 holes for 9,540 metres. The rig has returned to the Curley’s prospect to conduct targeted follow-up drilling around a significant Phase I intersection of 2m @ 3.68g/t Au, aiming to define a larger mineralised envelope. This expansion follows the completion of the initial 26 holes at the previously undrilled Cathedral prospect. The enlarged programme is expected to conclude by the end of November 2026, with assay results to be progressively received and interpreted, allowing for potential adjustments to the remaining drilling.

Expansion of Phase II Drilling Programme

Forgent plc (AIM: FORG), the Australian-focused critical and precious minerals explorer, is pleased to announce that it has expanded its ongoing Phase II drilling programme at its 99%-owned Peak Hill Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia. The drill rig has returned to the Curley’s prospect to undertake targeted follow-up drilling around the standout 2m @ 3.68g/t Au intersection returned during Phase I, following a recent site visit by Chief Executive Officer James Parsons and a review of drilling completed to date.

Highlights

Phase II has been expanded by a further 14 holes and approximately 840 metres, increasing the overall programme to approximately 144 holes for approximately 9,540 metres.

The rig has returned to Curley’s, where drilling of an additional 14 holes is now underway to follow up the 2m @ 3.68g/t Au intersection from Phase I.

The additional Curley’s drilling comprises targeted 20-metre step-outs designed to follow up on this strong gold result and seek to define a larger mineralised envelope.

The decision follows completion of the initial 26 holes for 1,365 metres at the previously undrilled Cathedral prospect.  The Cathedral programme will continue unchanged during Phase II with further follow-up drilling possible as assay results are progressively received and interpreted through to the programme’s conclusion.

James Parsons, Chief Executive Officer of Forgent, commented:

“Following my recent visit to Peak Hill and a review of drilling completed to date with our technical team on the ground, we have taken the decision to expand Phase II and return the rig to Curley’s to follow up one of the standout gold results from Phase I.

The Phase II drilling has consequently increased from approximately 130 holes to approximately 144 holes and the additional 14 holes at Curley’s are designed to target 20-metre step-outs around the 2m @ 3.68g/t Au intersection returned during Phase I. The objective is very clear: to chase that strong gold result and determine whether we can define a larger mineralised envelope around it.

At the same time, we have also now completed the initial 26 holes for 1,365 metres at Cathedral, a previously undrilled target, and samples from the programme will be progressing through the laboratory process. Importantly, we expect to receive and assess some of the earlier assay results while the rig remains active at Peak Hill, giving our technical team the flexibility to adapt the remaining programme where appropriate.

The drill bit continues to do the talking. Samples are moving through the laboratory process, the rig is turning again at Curley’s and we are continuing to advance Phase II in a way that is responsive to the data and focused on the areas of greatest potential.”

Phase II Expanded to test Curley’s Gold Result

Following a recent site visit to Peak Hill by the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, during which he reviewed the Phase II programme first hand with the Company’s exploration team, Forgent has elected to expand its Phase II programme and return the rig to Curley’s for additional targeted drilling around the standout Phase I gold intersection.

The visit followed completion of 18 holes for 710 metres at Curley’s, announced on 7 September 2026, and the subsequent move of the rig to the large, previously undrilled Cathedral target, where the initial 26 holes for 1,365 metres have now been completed.

The rig has returned to Curley’s and is now completing approximately 14 additional holes for an estimated 840 metres. This additional drilling comprises targeted 20-metre step-outs around the 2m @ 3.68g/t Au intersection from 50 metres returned during Phase I, with the objective of following up this strong result and seeking to define a larger mineralised envelope around the existing intersection.

As a result of this additional drilling, the overall Phase II programme is now expected to comprise approximately 144 holes for approximately 9,540 metres, up from the approximately 130 holes for approximately 8,700 metres originally announced.

Further Follow-Up as the Programme Progresses

Samples from the programme are being submitted progressively for laboratory analysis, with assay results expected in batches approximately four weeks after submission. This is expected to give the Company the opportunity to receive and assess some of the earlier assay results while the rig remains active at Peak Hill, and to adapt the remaining programme accordingly – including, where warranted, returning for follow-up drilling seeking to further define mineralisation around any significant gold assay results before Phase II concludes.

The enlarged Phase II programme, incorporating the additional Curley’s drilling, is expected to conclude by the end of November 2026, including a scheduled break for the drilling team and dovetailing the contractor’s other rig commitments.
