Gold Drilling Underway at Lander West

Summary by AI BETAClose X

First Development Resources plc has commenced Phase I, Stage II reverse circulation drilling at its Lander West Gold Project, a fully funded programme of approximately 2,000 metres targeting extensions to confirmed bedrock gold mineralisation. This follows Stage I which intersected gold mineralisation in bedrock, including 7 metres at 0.40 g/t gold from 50 metres, with a higher grade interval of 2 metres at 0.98 g/t gold in hole 26LWR08. The current drilling aims to test strike and down-dip extensions, seeking increased grades and mineralised thickness.

Gold Drilling Underway at Lander West

Follow-up Programme Targeting Extensions to Confirmed Bedrock Gold Mineralisation

First Development Resources plc (AIM: FDR), the Australia-focused exploration company, is pleased to confirm that Phase I, Stage II reverse circulation (“RC”) drilling has commenced at its Lander West Gold Project in Australia’s Northern Territory.

The fully funded programme is targeting approximately 2,000 metres of drilling to follow up the gold mineralisation intersected during Stage I at Red Handed and test additional priority targets. The final programme will be guided by field observations, with flexibility to adjust hole locations and depths as drilling progresses.

Stage I confirmed gold mineralisation in bedrock, including 7 metres at 0.40 g/t gold from 50 metres, including 2 metres at 0.98 g/t gold in hole 26LWR08. Stage II will test extensions along strike and down dip, seeking higher grades, greater mineralised thickness and evidence of continuity.

Tristan Pottas, Chief Executive Officer of FDR, commented:

“Drilling is now underway at Lander West. Having confirmed gold in bedrock during Stage I, we are taking the next step: testing how far that mineralisation extends and whether it strengthens.

Our targeting draws on the drilling results alongside geological, geochemical and geophysical data. I will be joining the team on site to assist with operational activities and look forward to keeping shareholders updated as the programme progresses.”
