EGT secures a long-term O&M contract renewal with Drax

Demonstrating scale and capability of EGT’s growing Wind Services business

24 September 2026 – European Green Transition plc (AIM: EGT), a company operating in the critical and renewable infrastructure sector, has secured a five-year operations and maintenance (O&M) contract renewal across a portfolio of 94 wind turbines in Great Britain and Northern Ireland with the Drax Group plc (LON:DRX, “Drax”).

The portfolio of 94 wind turbines was acquired by Drax as part of its acquisition of Bluefield Solar Income Fund in July 2026. Drax is a renewable and flexible generation energy company engaged in generating dispatchable power, producing sustainable biomass and selling renewable electricity to businesses.

Highlights

  • Secured a renewed five-year O&M contract with the portfolio, extending a successful partnership first established in 2021 and providing long-term, revenue visibility through recurring contracted income to 2031
  • Contract covers approximately 94 onshore wind turbines across Great Britain and Northern Ireland including Vestas, Endurance and WTN turbines
  • Serviced by EGT’s integrated Wind Services business, combining the expertise of the Earthmill, Silverford and WEP teams
  • Demonstrates EGT’s ability to manage diverse turbine fleets at scale and reinforces EGT’s position as a trusted partner to large renewable energy providers across the UK and Ireland

The award of this renewed five-year contract demonstrates both the strength of Earthmill’s operational capability and the growing scale of the long-term O&M opportunity within the UK's onshore wind sector. Covering a geographically diverse portfolio of approximately 94 turbines across Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the agreement will be delivered by EGT’s Wind Services platform, leveraging the expertise of the Earthmill team in Great Britain alongside the Silverford and WEP teams in Northern Ireland.

The contract encompasses a diverse fleet of turbines, including Endurance E-Series and X-Series, Vestas and WTN models, highlighting the breadth of technical expertise within the Group and its ability to support multiple turbine technologies across varied operating environments.

Importantly, this agreement represents a renewal of the original five-year contract awarded in 2021, reflecting the continued confidence in the quality, reliability and value of the services provided by EGT's Wind Services businesses. The renewal provides long-term revenue visibility to 2031 and further strengthens the Group's recurring contracted income base. This agreement reaffirms the Board’s expectation that the Wind Services business expects to generate revenue of £17 million to £18 million for the twelve months ending 31 December 2026 noting revenue attributable to EGT will represent the 10-month period since Completion.

Cathal Friel, Co-founder and Executive Chair of European Green Transition plc said: “This agreement with Drax marks an important step for EGT’s Wind Services platform and reflects our strategy of securing long-term, recurring revenue streams through high-quality operational contracts. The scale and geographic reach of this mandate underline Earthmill’s growing capability to deliver at a national level and support a broad base of wind energy assets.

As the UK’s onshore wind fleet continues to expand and mature, we see a significant opportunity to secure further contracts of this nature, strengthening our market position while driving stable, long-term value for shareholders.”
