Eco Buildings Group PLC
(“Eco Buildings” or the “Company”)
New €11.9 Million Contract Secured
Highlights:
Eco Buildings Group plc (AIM: ECOB), the UK-listed technology-led construction company focused on industrialised housing solutions, is pleased to announce that its Albanian operations have entered into a Manufacturing and Supply Agreement, relating to 60 residential villas at the Lake Gjokaj residential development in Albania.
The agreement provides for the manufacture, supply and installation of Eco Buildings' proprietary glass fibre reinforced gypsum ("GFRG") wall panel building system, together with associated construction works. The contract will utilise existing manufacturing capabilities, which are expected to increase following the successful installation of a new manufacturing line next month.
The project has an indicative total contract value of approximately €11.9 million, based on approximately 14,000 square metres of residential construction. The value is indicative and the timing and recognition of revenue will depend on project delivery and the applicable contractual terms. The Company expects operational margins on this new contract to be in line with previous guidance.
The agreement represents an important addition to the Company’s commercial project pipeline in Albania, alongside its progress on the Balfin Group Rolling Hills development in Tirana. Together, these projects demonstrate the opportunities for deploying Eco Buildings’ industrialised construction technology across multiple high-quality residential developments.
The construction programme is scheduled to commence in April 2027, with the agreement extending to April 2029. The programme remains subject to project execution and delivery requirements.
GFRG components are expected to be manufactured using Eco Buildings’ production capabilities in Albania. The project therefore offers the potential to support factory utilisation and a more consistent pipeline of manufacturing and installation activity over the scheduled construction period.
The Company’s industrialised construction process combines factory-manufactured components with on-site installation. This approach is designed to improve quality consistency, reduce reliance on conventional on-site construction processes and support more efficient delivery, subject to project-specific conditions.
Dr Etrur Albani, Executive Vice Chairman of Eco Buildings Group plc, commented:
“What makes this agreement particularly important is not simply its value, but what it represents for Eco Buildings. Together with our Rolling Hills development, we are establishing a growing commercial foundation for our industrialised construction technology in Albania.
With our second production line expected to become operational shortly, we are positioning the business to support increasing demand through a scalable manufacturing platform. Our focus is on translating that capacity into project delivery, revenues and sustainable commercial growth.”
Our priority is now disciplined delivery, together with a focus on quality, programme performance and commercial outcomes. We look forward to updating shareholders as the development progresses.”
