Board Changes
Critical Metals plc (LSE:CRTM), a mining company established to acquire mining opportunities in the critical and strategic metals sector, currently developing the Molulu Copper/Cobalt Project ("Molulu") in the Democratic Republic of Congo, announces two changes to the Board of Directors.
Mr Ali Farid Khwaja has resigned as Chief Executive Officer ("CEO"), effective immediately for personal reasons and the Board would like to thank him for his significant contributions during his short tenure as CEO, particularly in guiding the Company through a critical phase of restructuring. We wish him well for the future. The operations, financial plans and strategy remain unchanged. The Board is confident that the senior management can deliver the strategy and have the oversite and executive capability.
The Board has appointed Mr Danilo Lange as interim CEO of the Company while the Board carries out an executive search process in the coming months. The Board is confident that Mr Lange has the skills and experience to continue the company's development. Mr Lange is an experienced international executive with over 25 years of leadership experience across mining, consumer goods, and marketing sectors. He has a proven history in corporate turnaround, business expansion, and cross-cultural team management in Europe, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. He previously served as CEO of a NASDAQ OMEX listed gold producer and exploration company in Sweden. He has held senior management roles at Serviceplan Group, Red Bull, and Yahoo! and is fluent in six languages, including French. He holds a Master of Science from the University of Applied Science & Economics, Germany.
