Appointment of Chief Financial Officer
Concurrent Technologies Plc (AIM: CNC), a designer and manufacturer of leading-edge computer products, systems, and mission-critical solutions used in high-performance markets by some of the world's major OEMs, is pleased to announce the appointment of Emma Ciechan as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") and Executive Director, with effect from 5 October 2026.
Emma brings over 20 years' leadership experience spanning strategic finance, capital allocation, governance, transformation and corporate transactions, within complex international manufacturing and media businesses. Emma joins from DS Smith, formerly a London-listed global manufacturer of sustainable packaging with revenues of £6.8 billion and approximately 30,000 employees, where she most recently served as Finance Director of the Paper, Recycling & Capex and Paper Sourcing & Procurement divisions. During her 10 years at DS Smith, Emma held a number of senior finance roles, leading teams of up to 90 people and supporting external reporting and investor communications. Emma has also worked on acquisitions and other significant corporate transactions and, more recently, supported integration and organisational planning following International Paper's acquisition of DS Smith.
Prior to DS Smith, Emma was Group Financial Controller at Guardian Media Group plc and held leadership roles at News UK and Kantar.
As announced on 13 April 2026, current CFO Kim Garrod informed the Board of her intention to retire and step down from her position. Kim will continue to be employed by the Company until 30 November 2026 to facilitate a smooth transition.
Further information in accordance with Rule 17 and paragraph (g) of Schedule Two of the AIM Rules for Companies is set out at the end of this announcement.
Chairman Mark Cubitt commented: "We are delighted to welcome Emma to Concurrent. She brings an excellent combination of UK plc, international and manufacturing experience, together with a proven track record of partnering operational leaders to drive performance, manage investment and support growth. As we continue to execute our strategy, Emma's breadth of financial and operational expertise will be invaluable in supporting the next phase of Concurrent's growth.
"I'd also like to thank Kim for her significant contribution to Concurrent. Kim has played a vital role in supporting Miles and the team to transform Concurrent into the high growth leading edge technology business it is today."
Incoming CFO Emma Ciechan commented: "I am delighted to be joining Concurrent at a time when the Group has built strong momentum and established a clear platform for further progress.
"Having worked across complex manufacturing operations and finance functions, I look forward to bringing my experience to Concurrent as it continues to scale, and to working with Miles, the Board and the wider team to help deliver the Group's next phase of growth."
