$7m Production Orders from US Defence Prime

Summary by AI BETAClose X

Concurrent Technologies Plc has secured $7 million in production orders from a major US defence prime contractor for custom single board computers, following a previously announced $5.2 million design service contract that was later upsized by $1 million. These orders, split into $2.8 million in May 2026 and $4.2 million recently received, are for delivery in 2026 and 2027, bringing the total programme value with this customer to $13.2 million. This development signifies the customer's progression in manufacturing plans and highlights the company's ability to secure production contracts after undertaking design work, with the CEO anticipating increased outsourcing of hardware design requirements by defence primes.

$7m in production orders from US defence prime contractor

Concurrent Technologies Plc (AIM: CNC), a designer and manufacturer of leading-edge computer products, systems, and mission-critical solutions used in high-performance markets by some of the world's major OEMs, is pleased to announce $7m of production orders from a major US Tier 1 defence prime contractor. This follows the $5.2m "design service" contract announced on 19 September 2025, which was subsequently upsized by $1.0m as announced in the January 2026 trading update.

These orders are for the initial production of custom single board computers and have been placed in two tranches, the first being $2.8m placed in May 2026, and the second being $4.2m just received, for delivery in 2026 and 2027. The total value of the programme with this customer is now $13.2m.

The customer selected Concurrent to design a unique product, having historically undertaken such design work in-house. The customer is now placing production contracts with Concurrent as it progresses its manufacturing plans.

Miles Adcock, CEO of Concurrent Technologies, commented: "The joint strategic decision to transfer design from our customer to Concurrent has enabled us to secure these additional orders. Whilst the design work was valuable business in its own right, these orders demonstrate the wider benefits of that decision for both organisations. I expect defence primes to increasingly outsource their hardware design requirements over the long term, creating further opportunities for work of this nature."
