Chile Day in London

CleanTech Lithium PLC (AIM: CTL, Frankfurt:T2N) an exploration and development company, advancing sustainable lithium projects in Chile, attended Chile Day in London yesterday where the Minister of Economy and Mining, Daniel Mas, confirmed on stage during his speech the Special Lithium Operating Contract (CEOL) for Laguna Verde, the company’s flagship project, is with the Comptroller General’s Office (the “Comptroller”) for final review.

CleanTech Lithium had the opportunity to engage directly with the Minister on the regulatory pathway supporting Laguna Verde, and on Chile’s broader ambitions for its lithium sector. The Minister himself noted the crucial role the private sector will play in achieving these ambitions.

Ignacio Mehech, Chief Executive Officer of CleanTech Lithium Plc, said: “It is very positive to hear that the Minister of Economy and Mining confirmed at Chile Day in London yesterday that the CEOL for Laguna Verde is under final review by the Comptroller's Office. The Minister's comments were encouraging at a time when Chile is looking to expand its lithium industry and create a supportive environment for private sector investment. We will update the market on the CEOL ratification as soon as we are in a position to do so. In the meantime, critical work continues with optimisation test work underway, preparations for the proposed ASX dual-listing, the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and discussions with potential strategic partners.”
