                           Transaction in Own Shares


Centaur Media plc announces that on 3 October 2007 it purchased 2,500,000
ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company at a price of 114 pence per share.
These shares will be held in Treasury.


Following the purchase, the Company holds 5,000,000 of its ordinary shares in
Treasury and has a total of 144,805,879 ordinary shares (excluding shares held
in Treasury) in issue.
