Trading Update

BTG Consulting plc (“the group”), the financial and real estate advisory firm, is today holding its Annual General Meeting. Ric Traynor, Executive Chairman, will make the following statement:

“The last financial year was another successful one for the group, with results ahead of market expectations. This continued our established track record, with the group having now delivered over a decade of sustained profitable growth. These results reflect the strength and resilience of the business we have developed over many years, underpinned by a diversified mix of services, including counter-cyclical, transactional and asset-related activities. This provides a clear pathway for continued progress towards our revenue target of £200m.

We have made a good start to the new financial year, with results for the first quarter to 31 July 2026 in line with our expectations and revenue and adjusted profits showing encouraging growth over the comparative period. Accordingly, we remain confident of delivering market expectations* for the full year.

Restructuring has continued to perform well, supported by encouraging activity levels and flow of new instructions. Advisory has delivered an improved performance, benefiting from the completion of transactions delayed from the last financial year. The real estate business has continued to grow, reflecting the contribution from prior year acquisitions, activity arising on restructuring appointments, and an overall resilient performance against a challenging market backdrop.

Overall, the group is well positioned to continue building on its long-term track record of growth. This is underpinned by our established business model, strong market positions and disciplined approach to investment, encompassing both organic growth opportunities and an active acquisition pipeline.

We will next update on current trading at the time of our half year results, which we expect to publish in December 2026.”
