Change in trading currency

Summary by AI BETAClose X

Baltic Classifieds Group PLC announced its intention to change the trading currency of its ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange from pence sterling to euro cents, effective from early September 2026. This strategic move aligns the trading currency with the company's euro-denominated revenue, earnings, and cash flows, aiming to enhance consistency with financial reporting, eliminate GBP/EUR translation effects on the share price, and simplify the investment proposition. The change will not impact the company's listing status or its membership in the FTSE 250 Index, and shareholders are not required to take any action, though dividend payments will continue to be declared in euro and can be received in either euro or sterling.

Change in Trading Currency

Baltic Classifieds Group PLC (LSE: BCG), the leading online classifieds group in the Baltics, announces that it intends to change the currency in which its ordinary shares are traded on the London Stock Exchange from pence sterling to euro cents. The change is expected to take effect at the beginning of September 2026.

BCG generates all its revenue, earnings and cash flows in euro and reports its financial results in euro. Aligning the trading currency of the Company's shares with its reporting currency will provide greater consistency between the Company's share price and its financial reporting, eliminate the GBP/EUR translation effect on the quoted share price and simplify the investment case for BCG.

The change does not affect BCG's listing on the London Stock Exchange in any other way. BCG will remain a member of the FTSE 250 Index. Shareholders are not required to take any action.

Dividends will continue to be declared in euro and paid in either euro or sterling. Shareholders wishing to receive dividends in sterling may make a currency election with Equiniti in the usual way, by following the guidance at https://balticclassifieds.com/dividends. Shareholders who have already made an election do not need to re-elect.

Notifications will be made to the London Stock Exchange, FTSE Russell (for index calculation purposes) and the FCA in due course, and a further announcement confirming the change and the effective date will be made nearer to the time.
