Balfour Beatty completes disposal of Foundry Courtyard student accommodation
Balfour Beatty, the international infrastructure group, today announces the sale of Foundry Courtyard, a 536-bed student accommodation building in Glasgow. The Group has sold its 100% stake in Foundry Courtyard to an undisclosed buyer.
After allowing for debt repayment and normal adjusting items, net disposal proceeds to Balfour Beatty are £26 million, with the sale generating a profit on disposal of £24 million.
The proceeds are in line with the Balfour Beatty Directors' valuation as of 27 June 2025, consistent with the Group's strategy of optimising value through the disposal of operational assets, whilst continuing to invest in new asset opportunities.
Gains on investment disposals for the full year continue to be expected in the range of £30 - £40 million.
