Appointment of new directors - ASB Bank Limited

 

ASB is pleased to announce that Alistair Currie and Alan Docherty will join the Board of ASB Bank Limited, effective 1 July 2026, subject to Reserve Bank of New Zealand non-objection.

 

Mr Currie is a director of Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), with former executive roles at HSBC, ANZ Banking Group, and Barclays PLC.  He brings extensive international banking management experience to the Board.

 

Mr Docherty was appointed in 2018 as CBA Group's Chief Financial Officer. He has extensive experience of the financial services industry in Australia and the UK in senior finance, treasury and professional services roles.

Mr Currie and Mr Docherty will join existing directors, Chair Dame Therese Walsh, Managing Director Vittoria Shortt, Jim Brown, Ross Buckley, Rod Carr, Victoria Crone, Juliet Tainui-Hernandez, Mark Verbiest and Nigel Williams on the ASB Board.
