Motzfeldt 2026 Field Programme Advances Multiple Targets

Arkadian Strategic Metals Plc (AIM: AKN), the strategic metals and gold-focused exploration and development company, is pleased to provide further details of the successfully completed 2026 field programme at the Motzfeldt Critical Metals Project in South Greenland which has significantly advanced the Company's work at multiple targets across the Motzfeldt licence area.

The Company's field teams successfully completed the planned bulk sampling, field spectral and environmental baseline activities announced on 21 July 2026. A new bulk sample has been collected from the Aries mineral resource area, spectral and photogrammetry datasets have been generated across all three principal target areas (Aries, Merino and Voskop) and detailed environmental and bathymetric data has been collected from the likely project development sites.

These samples and datasets now move into the technical analysis phase, supporting the next mineral processing programme, target definition and the continuing engineering and environmental work at Motzfeldt.

Highlights

•        Four bulk sample lots, each weighing approximately 500-600 kg, collected from selected locations within the Aries mineral resource area for follow-up mineralogical and mineral-processing work.

•        Field hyperspectral scans completed at Merino and Voskop, with point-spectra data collected at Aries and photogrammetry completed across all three target areas.

•        Environmental baseline studies completed at key potential infrastructure sites to support project planning and the environmental pathway towards a future exploitation licence application.

•        Technical processing and interpretation of the field datasets now underway, with the scope of the next Aries metallurgical test work programme to be determined following technical review.

Bulk Sampling

Four bulk sample lots, each weighing approximately 500-600 kg, were recovered from selected locations within the Aries mineral resource area (Figure 1). The samples were transported by helicopter to Narsarsuaq and are currently in transit to the UK for further test work.

The selected locations fall within a north-south-trending mineralised zone identified through historic mapping. Tantalum response was used as a targeting indicator for pyrochlore-bearing mineralisation, with the programme designed to obtain representative material from known REE-Nb mineralised areas for the next phase of mineralogical and processing work.

Additional geological samples were collected to test and extend the geological interpretation of the Aries area. These include xenolithic rafts of volcanic country rock and quartzite associated with rare earth-niobium (REE-Nb) mineralised areas within the Motzfeldt Centre. The samples will be examined to assess whether these geological relationships represent an important control on mineralisation.

Following delivery of the bulk samples to the UK and technical review of the completed first-pass beneficiation programme which was carried out in South Africa, the Company will determine the scope of the next mineralogical and mineral processing work using the new material.

Hyperspectral and Photogrammetry Work

Arkadian's specialist hyperspectral consultants TheiaX GmbH completed the planned field-based spectral and photogrammetry programme across Aries, Merino and Voskop (Figure 2).

Tripod-mounted hyperspectral cameras were used at two scanning locations at Voskop, covering four scanning directions, and six locations at Merino, covering eight scanning directions. The locations were selected using assay results and geological observations from previous field seasons.

At Aries, field spectrometer data was collected from 198 points across 40 locations within the mineral resource area. These measurements are intended to identify spectral responses associated with neodymium (Nd), one of the most commercially valuable rare earth elements, and provide field control for calibration and interpretation of the satellite dataset.

Photogrammetry was also completed across all three target areas. Following data correction and processing, the field spectral information will be projected onto the photogrammetric models. Subject to technical interpretation, the resulting datasets are intended to support mapping of Nd-related spectral responses, geological target definition and planning of follow-up work across the surveyed areas.

The separate satellite data acquisition programme remains in progress. The field and satellite datasets will be integrated once the remaining acquisition and processing work has been completed.

Environmental Baseline Studies

Experienced Danish environmental consultants BioApp ApS have completed environmental baseline studies at key potential infrastructure sites identified through the continuing infrastructure and development review being undertaken by the Danish engineering consultancy NIRAS.

The surveys recorded indicator flora and fauna and established baseline environmental conditions against which the potential effects of any future project development can be assessed. This work allows environmental considerations to be incorporated early into infrastructure planning and will contribute to the evidence required for a future exploitation licence application.

BioApp also conducted bathymetric surveys at two potential port locations for the shipment of future primary concentrates from Motzfeldt.
