Los Pelambres operational update

Antofagasta plc ("Antofagasta" or the "Group") confirms that Los Pelambres continues to respond to the weather system and associated high levels of precipitation, which has affected several regions in Chile, with no safety incidents reported. The Group conducted an orderly shutdown of Los Pelambres' processing plant and mining operations following a period of intense precipitation and intermittent power outages that commenced late on Saturday 18^th July. As of yesterday, Los Pelambres has resumed operations and the Group's full year production guidance range remains unchanged. The Group will publish its Half Year Results announcement on Thursday 13^th August, and will provide a further update on the resumption of activities at Los Pelambres.

There has been no material impact to equipment or key infrastructure. This includes the El Mauro tailings dam, which has a series of surge ponds downstream of the dam that form part of the overall water management system currently in use and includes the controlled discharge of excess rainwater.

The Group continues to support local authorities and communities through road clearance and other emergency response activities across the Choapa Province, working in coordination with the relevant authorities and local emergency management committees.
