CEO Succession

Ampeak Energy announces that Graham Reid has informed the Board of his intention to retire as Chief Executive Officer on the 4th January 2027.

Following a planned succession process led by the Board, David Taaffe, currently Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director, will be appointed Chief Executive Officer when Mr Reid steps down from his executive responsibilities. Mr Reid will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director, providing valuable continuity and support to the Board and executive team.

Mr Taaffe was appointed to the Board in June 2026, having served as Chief Operating Officer since June 2022 and holding senior leadership roles within the Group since joining in 2011. He has played a central role in the development, financing and delivery of many of the Company's most significant projects.

Mr Taaffe has led the development of Ampeak's battery storage business and holds responsibility for the Company's project portfolio, including the origination, strategic development and project financing of its significant portfolio of battery storage projects. He was instrumental in achieving financial close of the AW1 Battery Storage Project, in establishing Ampeak's pipeline of battery storage development projects, and the development of the MeyGen tidal project.

Prior to joining Ampeak, Mr Taaffe worked for a number of international consultancies and developers and successfully delivered large-scale energy projects in Ireland, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. He holds a BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from University College Dublin.

The Board believes that Mr Taaffe's extensive experience, technical expertise, deep knowledge of the business and proven delivery record makes him exceptionally well placed to lead Ampeak through its next phase of growth.

Over the coming months, Mr Taaffe and Mr Reid will work closely together to ensure a smooth and orderly transition, with Mr Taaffe acting as CEO Designate.

I am particularly pleased that Graham intends to remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director. His experience, industry knowledge and understanding of the business will provide valuable continuity and support as David assumes the Chief Executive Officer role."
