Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of AEWU is pleased to announce the appointment of Kavita Patel as an independent Non-Executive Director ("NED") of the Company with effect from 9 September 2026, when Katrina Hart retires from the Board having served nine years.

Kavita is a qualified lawyer and was previously a member of Ampa Holdings, a professional services group, and Partner and Head of Investment Funds at the law firm, Shakespeare Martineau. Kavita has wide experience gained during her 25 years at Shakespeare Martineau advising clients in the financial services sector, both in the retail and institutional space, on corporate, regulatory and governance matters. Kavita is Chair of Foresight Enterprise VCT plc and was previously a Non-Executive Director of Nottingham Building Society, where she was also the Board Consumer Duty Champion. 

 

The Company confirms that there are no other matters which are required to be disclosed pursuant to UKLR 6.4.8R.
