Adamind and LogicaCMG deliver mobile content infrastructure solutions
at leading mobile network operator in South East Asia
Deployment of Adamind Spire(TM) will enable leading mobile operator
in South East Asia to offer rich mobile content services
to millions of subscribers
PALO ALTO, Calif. March 21, 2006: Adamind (LSE: ADA), a leading global
supplier of media adaptation software in the mobile messaging, content and
convergence services markets, today announced the deployment of its world-class
Adamind Spire(TM) platform at a leading mobile network operator in South East
Asia. LogicaCMG's professional services deployed and integrated the system for
the operator.
The Adamind Spire(TM) is being integrated as a core mobile media handling
component at the heart of the operators network serving both their Nokia
multimedia messaging services center (MMSC) and wireless application protocol
(WAP) portal. This implementation also represents the fourth such solution that
Adamind has deployed in recent months over a Nokia MMSC. Lately, more and more
network operators are integrating Adamind's solution as a central high-value
core element providing media adaptation services to multiple applications.
The deal takes the total number of network deployments globally to more than
100. By deploying Adamind Spire(TM), the operator will be able to provide a wide
range of mobile content services. In addition, they will receive a managed
service offering device profiles for all existing and future mobile devices as
they are introduced to the consumer market in Asia.
"This contract reinforces our strong position within the Asian market," says
Shailendra Jain, CEO of Adamind. "The combined proven track record and expertise
of both LogicaCMG and Adamind, have enabled the operator to quickly rise up to
the challenge of satisfying the huge demand of subscribers signing on for
advanced mobile data content services as well as improving their communications
experience."
Adamind's Spire(TM) handles adaptation of any media format, such as video,
audio, ring tone, image or animated slideshow to best fit the target device. The
mobile domain is characterized by a wide variety of devices that differ from
each other in their capacity to receive and consume rich media. Adamind's
software solution addresses the problems associated with deploying multimedia
services across mobile devices. It allows the implementation of a central
transcoding configuration whereby a single solution supports multiple services
to ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience.
