Strategic Review

 

The Board of BlackRock Income and Growth Investment Trust plc (the “Company”) has considered the Company’s ongoing challenges with size, liquidity, and operating costs in the context of the evolving Investment Trust industry. After consultation with BlackRock Investment Management UK Limited (“BlackRock”), the Company’s manager, the Board has initiated a review with the objective of identifying a more sustainable and competitive future strategy for the Company to address those challenges whilst maximising value for all shareholders over the long term.

Accordingly, the Board is inviting proposals for the future strategy of the Company.

Whilst the Company’s current investment focus is UK equities, the Board is open to receiving proposals (including corporate solutions) that do not maintain a UK-only focus.
