Smart Routing on Jumper Exchange Optimizes Costs Across DeFi Trading Platforms

Berlin, Germany, December 1st, 2025, FinanceWire

Jumper Exchange, a cross-chain trading aggregator, has announced an upgraded smart routing engine designed to help decentralized finance (DeFi) users minimize slippage and network fees when swapping or bridging assets across blockchains such as Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Arbitrum, and others. As DeFi has grown, liquidity has become increasingly fragmented, requiring traders to manually compare prices and routes across multiple decentralized exchanges and bridges—often leading to less efficient execution and higher transaction costs. The latest update from Jumper Exchange aims to address this challenge by automatically routing each trade through the most cost-effective path available at the time of execution.

The upgraded engine continuously scans integrated decentralized exchanges (DEXs) and bridges, simulating various combinations of pools and routes before a trade is submitted on-chain. Rather than relying on a single venue, the protocol can distribute an order across multiple paths when it results in improved aggregate pricing, or avoid pools with limited liquidity and higher price impact.

For users, this means that order routing is handled in the background, while the interface presents a single quote that already includes expected slippage and fees. A typical example is a cross-chain transaction such as using a bridge from BNB to ETH. Rather than forcing the trader to decide which bridge or intermediate token to use, Jumper Exchange evaluates several options and selects the route that aims to deliver the best effective rate when the transaction is confirmed.

“Retail and professional users alike are looking for consistency in execution rather than spending time comparing quotes from individual platforms,” said Jordan Neary, marketing lead at Jumper. “Our smart routing engine is built to focus on net outcome — the amount the user actually receives in their wallet after fees and gas — while keeping the experience as simple as a single click.”
He added that the new engine is also intended to make cross-chain trading more approachable for less experienced DeFi users. “Many people still see cross-chain swaps as complex or risky because there are so many protocols and bridges to navigate,” Neary said. “By abstracting that complexity away and clearly showing the route and expected output, we want to make it easier for users to feel comfortable moving liquidity wherever they need it.”

The routing logic is combined with features such as support for multiple wallets, non-custodial swaps and transparent route visualization. Users can review the proposed path before confirming a transaction, including the protocols and chains involved, giving them greater clarity on how their trade will be executed.

Security remains a central consideration for the team. Jumper Exchange aggregates liquidity from established DEXs and bridges in the ecosystem and does not take custody of user funds at any stage. Assets move directly between user wallets and the underlying protocols, reducing counterparty risk while retaining the benefits of aggregation and optimization.

Looking ahead, the project plans to extend the smart routing framework to additional chains and assets, as well as to introduce more granular settings for advanced users who may wish to prioritize speed, gas savings or specific liquidity venues.
