Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (MMC) today announced that Jules B. Kroll, the
founder of Kroll, will retire from MMC in July.
'As one of the founding fathers of the modern intelligence and security
industry, Jules Kroll has made enormous contributions to the field of risk
mitigation,' said Brian Duperreault, President and CEO of MMC. 'His legacy is a
firm that is a world leader in its area of expertise. We have benefited greatly
from Jules' guidance and leadership and wish him well in the future.'
Mr. Kroll said: 'After more than 35 years as a steward of Kroll, I have decided
to move on and pursue other personal and professional interests. I am extremely
proud of the team we assembled at Kroll and what we have accomplished over these
many years. I leave MMC confident in the knowledge that Kroll is well situated
under its leadership.'
Mr. Kroll indicated his future plans include increased involvement in higher
education. He is currently Chairman of the Board of John Jay College of Criminal
