Ten Alps PLC 28 February 2008 28 February 2008 Ten Alps Plc Update Factual media company Ten Alps announces that Education Digital 2 Limited, a consortium in which, via its wholly-owned subsidiary Brook Lapping, Ten Alps is a 75% shareholder, has received notification from the Department for Schools, Children and Families regarding its tender submission for the possible second phase of the Teachers TV project, to run from the Summer of 2008. Education Digital Limited, in which Ten Alps is a 70% shareholder, is the incumbent supplier on the project, having operated the first phase of the contract from 2004-8. The Department has said that it is now minded to accept the proposal of Education Digital 2, however as a requirement of law it has now imposed the ' Alcatel' standstill period which will be a minimum of 10 calendar days (commenced Monday 25 February) before the final confirmation of who has preferred bidder status and any contract negotiation can begin.
