Ten Alps plc rebrands to Zinc Media

(the "Company" or the "Group")

Ten Alps, the TV production, communications and publishing business, is changing its group brand name to Zinc Media with effect from 1st March 2016. The Group will retain Ten Alps PLC as the name of its holding company and for the purposes of its AIM market quotation (AIM: TAL), but in due course will seek shareholder approval to change the holding company name to Zinc Media Group PLC.

The change includes a complete rebrand and the launch of a new [trade] website www.zincmedia.com. The Company, which has undergone a process of restructuring over the past year, decided on the name change to reflect the newly refocused business.

The Company will retain the TV brands - Blakeway, Brook Lapping, Films of Record and Reef Television - which make programmes for the UK, US and international broadcasters.  The Company will also retain the Ten Alps website, www.tenalps.com, for the purposes of the Company's AIM Rule 26 disclosures. All other parts of the business will operate as Zinc Media.

Chief Executive Mark Wood commented:

"The name change is an important milestone in the reorganisation and transformation of the Company, marking a clear break with the past, and we now have the opportunity to redefine the identity and ambition of the Group. This is an exciting and dynamic media organisation which is focussed on growing as a global TV producer, communications and branded content business and a cross-platform publisher.

"Zinc is not just a great name - it is one of the most versatile and dynamic elements, essential to multiple aspects of our lives.  That makes it a perfect brand for a company which is reinventing itself with the aim of being one of the success stories in a fast-changing media world."

About the Company

Ten Alps was founded in 1999 by singer and entrepreneur Bob Geldof and evolved as a business publisher and TV programme maker.  The company was restructured and refinanced last July, when it also acquired Reef TV.  Mark Wood has focussed the company on growing as a factual and documentary programme maker and developing a video-led corporate communications and branded content business. On 8th February 2016 It announced plans to acquire a small corporate video production business. It has restructured its publishing business, developing digital platforms and events as new revenue streams.

Recent television successes have included Murder Detectives, broadcast over three nights on Channel 4 late last year to enormous critical acclaim, and this month's Panorama programme on Pope John Paul's relationship with a female writer. Reef TV, which has factual entertainment series such as Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is and Penelope Keith's Hidden Villages on BBC and Channel 4, has just completed a series with baking star Paul Hollywood for Scripp's Food Network.
