Ten Alps Communications PLC 5 July 2002 Ten Alps expands UK government work with new contract wins Ten Alps Communications PLC ('Ten Alps') has won new work for several of its divisions from UK government departments in the first three months of the financial year, April to June. 'We are significantly increasing the amount of effort we put into competitive tendering processes for public sector work in the UK and Europe, and it has brought results,' said Alex Connock, Chief Executive. 'Under EC regulations, most major public sector contracts are now tendered out.' • Ten Alps Events has won a competitive tender for the Office of National Statistics. • In advertising, Ten Alps RMA has won new high-profile national public information campaigns for the Department of Trade and Industry, including fireworks safety awareness, and awareness of unsolicited mail promoting scam lotteries, draws and prizes. • And the Ten Alps political events division Know Comment has won business from the Home Office community cohesion unit, and the government's Children and Young People's Unit.
