Young & Co's Brewery P.L.C. announces that Lord Sharman of Redlynch OBE will be
stepping down on the conclusion of his three year term of office from his
position as a non-executive Director and will therefore leave the Board with
effect from 1 October 2002.



The Board would like to thank Lord Sharman for his contribution to the
development of the business over the past three years and wish him continued
success in his other business and political interests.
