YOUNG & CO.'S BREWERY, P.L.C. (the 'Company')

The Company announces that it has today converted 235,000 B Ordinary shares of
50p each into 235,000 A Ordinary shares of 50p each. Accordingly, application
has been made to The UK Listing Authority for these shares to be admitted to the
Official List and to the London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted
to trading. The converted shares rank pari passu with the existing A Ordinary
shares in the Company.
