                        PRELIMINARY RESULTS NOTIFICATION



Xaar plc will be announcing its preliminary results for the twelve months ended
31 December 2001 on Wednesday 13 February 2002.

An analyst briefing will be held at Buchanan Communications, 107 Cheapside,
London, EC2V 6DN, on that day at 9:30 am.  A press meeting will follow at 11:15
am.
