                       PRELIMINARY RESULTS NOTIFICATION


On behalf of our client, Xaar plc, we notify the London Stock Exchange that
the Company will be announcing its preliminary results for the twelve months
ended 31st December 2000 on Wednesday 14th February 2001.


An analyst briefing will be held at Buchanan Communications, 107 Cheapside,
London, EC2V 6DN, on that day at 09:15 am for 09:30 am start. A press meeting
will follow at 11:15 am for 11:30 am start.
