                PRELIMINARY RESULTS NOTIFICATION
                                                          
On  behalf of our client, Xaar plc, we notify the London Stock
Exchange  that the Company will be announcing its  preliminary
results  for  the  twelve months ended 31st December  1999  on
Wednesday 16th February 2000.

An analyst briefing will be held at Buchanan Communications on
the day of the announcement at 09:15 am for 09:30 am start. A
press meeting will follow at 11:15 am for 11:30 am start.
