Xaar PLC ('The Company')

Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange for 1,250,000 ordinary shares of 10p each to be admitted to the
Official List.

These shares, ranking pari passu in all respects with the existing ordinary
shares in issue, will be allotted pursuant to the exercise of options and to
the rules of Xaar PLC Employee Share Option Schemes.

These shares will not be allotted immediately but as and when the scheme rules
allow.

Copies of this announcement may be obtained from the Company's Registered
Office for a period of 14 days from the date of this announcement.
