Workspace Group PLC ('the Company')

The Company has been advised today that the Trustees of the Company's Executive
Share Option Trust ('ESOT') purchased 164,788 ordinary shares on 19 June 2006,
at a price of 345p per share.

The shares will be held by the Trustees and are intended to be used at a later
time to meet any matching requirements imposed in accordance with the rules of
the group's Long Term Incentive Plan. Following this notification, the total
number of shares held in the ESOT amounts to 5,647,685 ordinary shares of 10p
each, which amounts to 3.33% of the issued share capital of the Company.
