                     WORKSPACE APPOINTS NEW FINANCE DIRECTOR


Workspace Group PLC ('Workspace'), the leading provider of flexible business
accommodation to small and medium sized enterprises in London, today announces
the appointment of Graham Clemett as Group Finance Director. Graham, aged 46,
joins Workspace from The Royal Bank of Scotland plc where he was Finance
Director, UK Corporate Banking.

Graham will replace Mark Taylor who has advised the Company that after 12 years
as Group Finance Director that he wishes to retire.

Tony Hales, Chairman of Workspace commented,

' We are delighted that Graham will be joining us as Finance Director. He brings
considerable experience as a Financial Director in the financial services
sector, both through his time with RBS and at Reuters before this. I am
confident that he will bring a new perspective to the Group and the role of
Finance Director.

' Graham's appointment follows Mark Taylor's decision that he wishes to retire.
Mark has been Finance Director for the Group for 12 years, during which time
Workspace has grown from a market capitalisation of less than £50m to over
£850m. He has played an active role in all aspects of the Group's development,
including the recent conversion to Real Estate Investment Trust ('REIT') status.
The Board has accepted Mark's decision reluctantly and is discussing with him
the transitional arrangements which will include a period of overlap. A further
announcement will be made advising of the exact date of Mark's retirement from
the Board which is likely to be following the publication of the Annual Report
and the Annual General Meeting.

The Company can advise that there are no further details relating to
the appointment of Mr Graham Clemett which it is obliged to disclose under
paragraph 6.F.2 (b-g) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
