                         SENIOR MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENTS

John Wood Group PLC ('the Group') announces the following management
appointments with immediate effect.

Given the very significant importance of increasing our penetration in new
international markets, David Baillie, currently Chief Executive of Gas Turbine
Services, is being appointed to a new fulltime group role in International
Market Development.  With his broad international marketing knowledge and
experience, David's primary focus will be on new territories and opportunities,
with Russia, the Caspian, North and West Africa and China being key upfront
targets.

Allister Langlands, Group Deputy Chief Executive, with current responsibility
for the Gas Turbine Services Division, will, in the meantime, also take over the
role of Chief Executive of Gas Turbine Services.  Allister will retain his Group
responsibilities for shareholder communication and major business developments
and will, as planned, take on the Group Chief Executive role in due course.
