Wincanton plc today issues the following pre-close season update for the twelve
months ending 31st March 2005:



'Wincanton will deliver good underlying earnings progress for the year to 31st
March 2005, with trading results in line with market expectations.



Arbitration proceedings are progressing to resolve the matter referred to in our
announcement of 4th February.'
