Wilmington Group plc announces that on 20 September 2006, Neil Smith, a PDMR,
sold 131,141 ordinary shares in the company at a price of 189.5p. Such shares
were acquired by Neil Smith on 20 September pursuant to a previously announced
private option agreement entered into with a former director of Wilmington
Group. Neil Smith's resultant holding of ordinary shares remains unchanged,being
114,324 ordinary shares.
