He has a proven record when it comes to securing oil assets in Africa and I believe he will make an important contribution. As the Company closes in on its target areas and assets within the upstream sector of the petroleum industry, we continue to see excellent opportunities in Africa as nations seek to benefit from their underexplored hydrocarbon reserves. Hopefully in the near future we will be adding to our deal sourcing team with the recruitment of other consultants of the calibre of Matchette-Downes as well as expanding our capability to source finance when a suitable asset has been acquired"

Christopher Matchette-Downes commented: "I am pleased to be supporting Wildcat as it seeks to acquire oil and gas assets as part of its stated strategy. I look forward to working with the team to generate new investment opportunities and am confident that we will secure suitable sustainable projects from  the many opportunities  that have been identified."
