Appointment of Financial Adviser

Update re: Blockchain activity

Notice of Results

Wildcat Petroleum plc (LSE: WCAT), which is targeting investment opportunities in businesses and assets within the upstream sector of the petroleum industry, today provides the following update.

The Company is pleased to announce that it has strengthened its professional advisory team with the appointment of Guild Financial Advisory Limited ("Guild") as its Financial Advisor. Guild will primarily advise WCAT on its obligations as a public company as it continues to execute on its oil strategy over the coming months.

Wildcat would also like to clarify that its Blockchain activities and possible token offering (see RNS dated 24 March 2021) will not take place before the Company has implemented its investment strategy to acquire an upstream oil and gas asset and it has published a prospectus in line with its Listing Rules obligations. The Company emphasises that the launch of a token will depend on the regulatory environments at the time, as well as obtaining approval from appropriate regulatory authorities. Wildcat has been hampered in its pursuit of an oil asset due to COVID-19 related travel restrictions. However, with the easing of travel restrictions due to vaccination roll-outs, Wildcat is confident that it can achieve an oil deal in due course.

The Company is planning to release its accounts for year ended 30 June 2021 shortly. As at the year-end, cash was £358,000, which is significantly below the current market capitalisation of the Company.
