Whitbread - re-directorate

Whitbread has announced that John Padovan is to retire as a non-executive
director at the Annual General Meeting in June.

Sir John Banham, chairman, said : 'John has been a non-executive director since
1992;  and more recently he has been chairman of the Whitbread Pension Trustees.
I should like to place on record our thanks for his much valued contribution
to the company over the past decade.'
