COSTA INVESTOR DAY

Whitbread PLC announces that it is hosting a Costa Investor Day in London today commencing at 14.30 UK time, for research analysts and institutional investors.

In April 2011, Costa set out its target to double system sales from £659 million to £1.3 billion by 2016. In April 2013, it confirmed that it was on track to achieve this growth milestone and announced a new growth milestone to double Costa's total system sales to around £2.0 billion by 2018.

Today, Costa will confirm the initiatives in place to achieve the 2018 growth milestone, and give an update on recent sales and contribution margin performance, store and unit growth ambitions by business and the expected capital investment.
