Cancellation of Treasury Shares

5,000,000 ordinary shares held as treasury shares by Whitbread were cancelled today. 

Following this cancellation Whitbread now holds 14,188,806 ordinary shares as treasury shares and has 179,714,281 ordinary shares (excluding the ordinary shares held as treasury shares) in issue.
