J D Wetherspoon has been advised on 23 November 2001 that Morley Fund
Management Limited (a subsidiary of CGNU plc) and CGNU plc are now interested
in 8,930,427 ordinary shares in the Company representing 4.22% of J D
Wetherspoon's issued ordinary share capital.
