JD Wetherspoon plc have today been advised that on 3rd September 2004 Mr Brian
Jervis a Non Executive Director, sold 2,895 JD Wetherspoon shares at a price of
243.55p per share and then Mr Brian Jervis purchased 2,895 shares at a price of
243.95p.


These shares will be placed in a Natwest ISA account.


Following this transaction Mr Jervis interest in 34,549 shares remains
unchanged.
