JD Wetherspoon plc was today advised that Mr Anthony Carmel Lowrie, a
non-executive director, on Friday sold 610,000 ordinary shares in the company at
a price of 290p per share.


Following this transaction Mr Lowrie now has a beneficial interest in 7,861,619
shares.
